PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell unit which prevents breakage of a communication passage due to a difference in thermal expansion between a casing and a heat exchanger and between the communication passage and the casing, thereby making it possible to supply oxidant gas to the fuel battery cell stably.SOLUTION: The fuel cell unit comprises: a casing 56 including a fuel battery cell and a combustion unit therein and a combustion gas exhaust port 21a provided in the casing 56; a heat exchanger 22, having a combustion gas introduction section 81 and fixed to the outer face of the casing 56, which exchanges heat between an oxidant gas taken in from the outside and a combustion gas; and an oxidant gas communication passage 76 between the heat exchanger 22 and the casing 56. The heat exchanger 22 includes the combustion gas introduction section 81 at one end and a discharge opening 82 at the other end. The casing 56 and the heat exchanger 22 are joined to each other and fixed in place by a connection section provided between the outer face of the casing 56 and the outer face of the heat exchanger 22 to connect the combustion gas exhaust port 21a and the combustion gas introduction section 81 together and by the communication passage 76 disposed near the combustion gas introduction section 81. |
