发明名称 NUCLEAR FUEL USING MULTI-COATED PARTICLE
摘要 PURPOSE: A nuclear fuel with a multi-coated structure is provided to improve radiation shielding performance and protection performance against a high temperature and high pressure by multiply coating a UO2 nuclear particle with high heat-resistant and pressure-resistant materials. CONSTITUTION: A nuclear fuel particle (10) is formed by laminating a multiple coating layer (12-15) on the surface of a UO2 nuclear particle. The multiple coating layer is made of two or more among silicon carbide, pyrolytic carbon, zirconium alloy, aluminum oxide, and niobium alloy. The diameter of the nuclear fuel particle which is multiply coated is 0.5 mm or greater. The nuclear fuel particle which is multiply coated is fixed in a graphite matrix and is changed into a fuel compact. The fuel compact is formed with a rod shape, a regular polyhedral shape, or a spherical shape.
