PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform color correction with harmonized colors as a whole, while retaining the continuity of gradation.SOLUTION: An image processing method includes: determining whether or not an input chromaticity value is included in an output gamut; performing cluster analysis on a chromaticity value not included in the gamut to classify into a first section; obtaining the centroid G of the chromaticity value belonging to the first section; moving the chromaticity value belonging to the first section to the accompaniment of the movement of the centroid G to a predetermined position (point P) of an outermost outline of the gamut; performing cluster analysis on a chromaticity value included in the gamut to classify into a second section; obtaining the centroid C of the chromaticity value belonging to the second section; and based on the distance and the direction of the movement of the centroid C and relative position relationship between the centroid G and the centroid C, moving the chromaticity value belonging to the second section.
