PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light weight and compact rotary damper.SOLUTION: A rotary damper D includes: a shaft 1; a pair of side panels 2, 3 pivoting the shaft 1 while allowing the rotation in a circumferential direction; a case 4 provided between the side panels 2 and 3 and forming an operation room R inside; and a vane 5 provided in the shaft 1 having a tip end in sliding contact with an inner circumference of the case 4 and partitioning the operation room R to one side room R1 and the other side room R2. In the rotary damper D, a damping valve V 35 at one side and a damping valve 36 at the other side for giving a resistance to a liquid moving back and forth to one side room R1 and the other side room R2 is provided inside the shaft 1. |
