The invention relates to production of ferroalloys, namely to methods for producing high-carbon ferrochrome in ore-reducing electric furnace. A method provides the loading into electric furnace of chromium ore, reducing agent and material containing quartz, melting of charge, taping of slag and metal, separation of metal from slag and metal pouring. Fraction of chrome ore with size of particles less than and carbon-containing reducing agent with sizes of particles less than is used in the method, which are mixed in the ratio 1-(0.3-0.5) and then briquettes are prepared from mix and quartzite is used as a flux. The briquettes are loaded into electric furnace together with quartzite in the ratio, w/w: briquettes 93.7-96.2, quartzite 3.8-6.3 %. The ore comprising, w/w: 44-56 CrO, and 4-12 SiOis used. |
