PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method for a reformed gas production apparatus capable of preventing a decrease in catalyst activity by carbon deposition, with attaining a high reforming efficiency.SOLUTION: A method of producing a reformed gas including methane, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide by reforming a fuel including a ≥2C hydrocarbon, using a reformer catalyst, includes: supplying a fluid including the fuel, and at least one among water vapor and carbon dioxide-containing gas, and gas including oxygen to a reforming reaction region; and bringing the resultant material into contact with the reformer catalyst by using the thermal decomposition index temperature of fuel as the upper limit temperature in the reforming reaction region to produce a reformed gas, the thermal decomposition index temperature being determined by the kind and concentration of a ≥2C hydrocarbon constituting the fuel. |
