<p>A safety arrangement (11) to be installed in a vehicle (12) to raise the hood (14) of the vehicle (12) in the event that the vehicle (12) collides with a pedestrian. Movement members (16, 17) control the movement of the hood (14) when the hood (14) is driven following activation of the safety arrangement (11) so that the hood (14) moves upwardly relative to the driving direction of the vehicle (12). The safety arrangement (11) is particularly suited to vehicles which have a shorter than average hood.</p> |
