PURPOSE: An X-ray irradiation range control method and a device thereof are provided to control a collimator according to a received user input, and to control the range of X-ray irradiation according to the size and position of the collimator. CONSTITUTION: An X-ray irradiation range control method comprises the steps of: displaying (110) an image of a photographed object; receiving (120) a user input of a displayed-photographed image; controlling (130) a collimator according to the received user input; and detecting (140) the intensity of an X-ray for the photographed image.
