APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DECODING RI IN PUSCH FOR LTE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A rank indicator (RI) decoding device of a physical uplink shared channel in an LTE system and a method thereof are provided to reduce signal processing time by performing CQI decoding or convoluion turbo code (CTC) decoding before channel de-interleaving is completed. CONSTITUTION: An RI decoding device comprises an RI signal extracting part (120), an RI signal rearranging part (125) and an RI decoder (140). The RI signal extracting part confirms the location of an RI symbol by the kind of CP, the whole length of an RI and the bit number of the RI before extracting an RI signal from the output signal of a de-scrambler inputted into a subcarrier corresponding to at least one RI symbol location at the confirmed RI symbol location. The signal rearranging part extracts an original RI signal by rearranging the RI signal extracted from the RI signal extracting part according to a storing order or the whole length of the RI. The RI decoder decodes the original RI signal generated by the RI signal rearranging part.
