PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible rubber joint capable of sufficiently suppressing the swelling of a joint body due to a hydraulic pressure load, and coping with the displacement of an underground structure when earthquake occurs.SOLUTION: A flexible rubber joint 1 is disposed inside the joint of two opposite underground structures. The flexible rubber joint 1 includes: a joint body 5 configured like a wave shape such that a base cloth 23 is embedded between rubber layers 21 and 22; and a swelling prevention cover 6 for suppressing the swelling of the joint body 5 due to a hydraulic pressure to be imposed from the outside of the underground structures. The swelling prevention cover 6 is configured like a flat plate such that a base cloth 27 is embedded in rubber layers 25 and 26. The swelling prevention cover 6 is formed with a notch 32 like a broken line along a direction where the joint of the underground structures extends. Respective both ends 7, 8 and 10, 11 of the joint body 5 and the swelling prevention cover 6 are fixed to the underground structures via holding plates 13 and 14 by anchor bolts 15 and 16. |
