摘要 PURPOSE: An automatic recovery type earth leakage breaker is provided to prevent an electric shock accident or a fire accident due to a leakage current at a load and to safely detect current leakage at the load in order to control whether or not power is supplied to the load. CONSTITUTION: An automatic recovery type earth leakage breaker includes a first main switch(SW1), a second main switch(SW2), a cutoff relay(11), a current transformer(12), a current leakage detector(13), a controller(14'), a current leakage inspecting part(16), and a current leakage signal outputting part(17). The first main switch is turned on or off between a first alternating current power input terminal(IN1) and a first alternating current power output terminal(OUT1), and supplies power to a load and cuts off the power to the load. The second main switch is turned on or off between a second alternating current power input terminal(IN2) and a second alternating current power output terminal(OUT2), and supplies the power to the load and cuts off the power to the load. The cutoff relay turns on and off the pair of the main switches according to an applied power supply signal and an applied power cutoff signal. The current transformer detects current flowing in a power line. When the value of the detected current is determined to be over a predetermined current value, the current leakage detector outputs a current leakage detection signal. The controller outputs a current leakage inspection signal(S1) at a predetermined period when the current leakage detection signal is input, outputs the power cutoff signal when a current leakage current(S2) is input, and outputs the power supply signal to the cutoff relay when the current leakage signal is not input. When the current leakage signal is input, the current leakage inspecting part connects the first alternating current power input terminal with the first alternating current power output terminal, or the second alternating current power input terminal with the second alternating power output terminal. When the current leakage signal is not input, the current leakage inspecting part opens a gap between the first alternating current power input terminal and the first alternating current power output terminal in order to prevent a leakage current at the load from flowing. If the leakage current flows when the first and the second alternating power input terminal is respectively connected with the first and the second alternating power output terminal, the current leakage signal outputting part outputs the current leakage signal.
