摘要 <p>Disclosed are a power transmission device and power transmission control method whereby the connection condition of the coupling electrodes can be changed over in accordance with the shape, size and position of arrangement etc. of the powered device, even when asymmetric capacitative coupling is employed. A first active electrode and first passive electrode are provided as power transmission electrodes that are capacitatively coupled by arrangement respectively facing a second active electrode and second passive electrode of a powered device. There are provided: a power source circuit section having an active terminal and a powered terminal that is of lower potential than this active terminal; a reference potential terminal that is connected with a reference potential; a plurality of transmission units arranged on a power transmission face and constituted by one or a plurality of aforesaid transmission electrodes; and a switching element that, at each transmission unit, changes over the connection condition to at least one of a condition in which the unit is connected to the active terminal and connected to the passive terminal or a condition in which the unit is connected to the reference potential terminal or not connected to any terminal: the control circuit controls the operation of the switching element based on information relating to the position of the second active electrode and second passive electrode of the powered device.</p>
