PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an electronic apparatus that is capable of creating index information corresponding to content data while receiving the content data.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, an electronic apparatus receives a first packet group constituting a stream of content data containing at least one program from a server. The electronic apparatus detects a first packet containing program information concerning a construction of the at least one program in the first packet group, detects a second packet existing at the start of a second packet group for carrying a randomly accessible video frame in the first packet group, and detecting a time stamp, which indicates a presentation time of the randomly accessible video frame, from the second packet or another received packet having the same packet identifier as the second packet. The electronic apparatus creates index information indicative of a storage position of the first packet in the buffer and the time stamp. |
