The insert element (2) is inserted into notch (5) of a rear window (1) and forms a common edge panel with the rear window, where a hole (3) is provided near a window lower edge (15) for incorporating a wiper shaft (4) of a windscreen wiper. The hole is inserted into the notch of the rear window of a laminated glass. A side piece with its outer surface flushes with another outer surface of an upper pane (6) of the rear window. The side piece forms a gap-free passage towards upper pane, where the insert element is designed semicircular and has a straight front edge (14).
