An indoor unit of a duct type air conditioner is provided to improve quality of a product by restricting condensate from being scattered and preventing rust or wrong operation, and to enhance the appearance by discharging condensate through a horizontal drain pan. An indoor unit of a duct type air conditioner includes an outer case vertically and horizontally installed, a fan motor assembly installed in the outer case to forcibly suck and discharge outdoor air, an indoor heat exchanger exchanging heat with suction air, a vertical drain pan(400) formed in a lower part of the outer case to collect condensate from the indoor heat exchanger, a horizontal drain pan(500) collecting condensate from the indoor heat exchanger, and an auxiliary drain pan(520) formed at an end of the horizontal drain pan to collect condensate falling by air flow from the fan motor assembly. The auxiliary drain pan is extended from the end of the horizontal drain pan to the fan motor assembly.
