The disclosed drive of a bicycle with reciprocating moving arms comprises a housing, a synchronization mechanism, which consists of three bevel gears, a drive shaft and overrunning clutches. The first reciprocating movable arm of pedals is displaced from the upper point of the position of pedals in the direction of the stroke. The second reciprocating movable arm of pedals is displaced in the opposite direction of the working stroke. The length of each arm is increased. The housing further comprises a second drive shaft. On each drive shaft there are secured: a pedal arm, the bevel gear and overrunning clutch, which is wedged in the direction of the working stroke. The external collars of overrunning clutches are cylindrical gear which, through intermediate cylindrical pinions and shafts, on which they are mounted, are connected to a drive sprocket of a drive chain. |
