The controller (2) has a lever arm (20) that moves in a preset actuation direction with a handle. The handle is placed at one end of the arm, and has an outer shape adapted to a shape of a palm of a hand. The handle has an upper face (40) located against the arm relative to the handle, and front, rear, left and right lateral faces (42, 44, 46, 48) entirely perpendicular relative to the upper face. The handle has a touch button (32) electrically connected to a dead man's system processing device (56) and located in at the level of the lateral faces, where the button is touch-sensitive. An independent claim is also included for a method for manual utilization of a driving controller of a vehicle by an operator. |
