PURPOSE: A control channel signal transmitting method in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication system and an apparatus thereof are provided to transmit the control channel signal in a frequency selective transmission method by maintaining all coding rates between the channel signal identically. CONSTITUTION: A control channel signal transmitting apparatus comprises a transmitting unit and a configuring unit. The transmitting unit occupies the same time domain as a resource element (RE), which is used in the reference signal transmission of the data channel domain in the PRBs (103,113,114,116,117) comprised of a plurality of RE. The transmitting unit uses the RE, which occupies the frequency domain closest to the RE used in the reference signal transmission, to transmit a response channel signal and to transmit the control channel signal for the scheduling. The configuring unit configures a resource element group (REG) when the control channel signal for the scheduling is transmitted in a dispersion transmitting method. The REG is configured with the consecutive four or two REs, among the REs except for the RE used in the reference signal transmission and the RE used in the response channel signal transmission, on a frequency axis. The REs configuring one REG is positioned on the same PRB.
