In order to provide a vehicle control device capable of improving the estimation accuracy of an estimated value used for calculating the control amount of behavior control of a vehicle, a vehicle control device (2) is provided with: a weight computing unit (56) which estimates the weight of a vehicle (1); a traveling state computing unit (55) which estimates the turning performance of the vehicle (1); a guard setting unit (58) which changes and sets an upper limit value and/or a lower limit value of the turning performance on the basis of the weight of the vehicle (1) estimated by the weight computing unit (56); an upper/lower limit processing unit (59) which performs processing for bringing the turning performance estimated by the traveling state computing unit (55) into the range between the upper and lower limit values set by the guard setting unit (58); and a behavior control unit (54) which controls the behavior of the vehicle (1) on the basis of the turning performance that has been subjected to the processing for being brought into the range between the upper and lower limit values in the upper/lower limit processing unit (59).
