PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system that hardly causes a short circuit fault in a circuit between an external power supply and a battery.SOLUTION: A motor MG1 is driven by electric power supplied from an external power supply 42. A generator MG2 is driven by the driving force of the motor to generate electric power. The electric power generated by the generator is charged to a battery.
