The device has two or more bearings for maintaining a shaft (2) with a frame (3). The bearings are shifted with respect to each other in a vertical plane. The bearing is designed as a bearing of a rotor (1) associated with a generator, a pump or a reducer. The shaft and another shaft of the generator, the pump or the reducer are related to each other. The shaft is maintained in two bearing points (4, 5), which are offset in the vertical plane, so that moving torque is generated due to weight of the rotor.
