PURPOSE: A lens unit and a light emitting device are provided to minimize light loss due to light recycling, thereby maximizing luminous efficacy. CONSTITUTION: A first recess (11) is upwardly formed at the bottom. A second recess (13) is downwardly formed at the top. A first lens and a second lens (15, 17) are symmetrical with respect to a normal line at the center of the first and second recesses. The first and second lenses include a plane of incidence (21), reflecting surfaces from a first to a fourth (23a, 23b, 27a, 27b), rear surfaces from a first to a third (31, 32, 33), and first and second sides (34, 35) each. The plane of incidence is formed in the first recess. A plurality of the reflecting surfaces are formed in the second recess. |
