PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of controlling the amount of an acid functionality modifying a catalyst in a catalytic layer for a fuel cell.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a catalytic layer for a fuel cell includes: a first liquid mixture preparation step of preparing a first liquid mixture containing a catalyst including a support supporting a catalytic metal particle, a platinum compound solution, and water; a mixture generation step of evaporating a water content from the first liquid mixture prepared in the first liquid mixture preparation step to generate a mixture including at least the catalyst and an acid functionality; and a heat treatment step of heat-treating the mixture generated in the mixture generation step, which has at least the function of fixing the acid functionality to the catalyst. |
