Improvement of the active resolution of phased array ultrasound test bodies

The method involves arranging a subset of ultrasound elements (3-1-3-N) along respective stage of a track (L) to interconnect respective virtual ultrasound probe (2). The respective virtual ultrasound probe is utilized for creating respective ultrasound pulse of series of ultrasound pulses. A first subset of the virtual ultrasound probe is provided with odd number of the ultrasound elements and second subset of another virtual ultrasound probe is provided with even number of ultrasound elements. Difference between the odd number and even number is one. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for performing ultrasound scan on an investigation object using an ultrasound probe with ultrasound elements (2) a data carrier with a control program for an apparatus for performing ultrasound scan on an investigation object using an ultrasound probe with ultrasound elements.
