PURPOSE: A device for correcting a rotation angle detection error in a dead reckoning (DR) GPS module and a method thereof are provided to detect an accurate rotation angle even though a vehicle is inclined to the front or the rear. CONSTITUTION: A gyro sensor (101) detects right and left rotation angles of a DR GPS module. A slope sensor (102) detects the front and rear slope of the DR GPS module. A storage unit (103) presets left and right rotation angle correction values corresponding to front and rear slope detection values for the gyro sensor. A correction value calculating unit (104) calculates a rotation correction value according to the front and rear slope from the storage unit. A rotation angle correcting unit (105) outputs new right and left rotation angles calculated by applying the rotation correction value calculated by the correction value calculating unit.
