The object detecting unit detects whether the object desired to display on a map screen and the route guide line are crossed or not. The display unit displays the object and the route guide line on the map screen while the object crossing the route guide line is blending-processed. The object detecting unit determines whether a polygon corresponding to the object and a virtual polygon of the route guide line are crossed or not, thereby detecting the object crossing the route guide line.
