<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control device which is adapted to actual situations on a screen for display of various information to achieve both of power-saving and user-friendliness of the screen. <P>SOLUTION: A display control device 3 is capable of switching brightness of a screen from a normal mode to a power-saving mode in response to passage of a prescribed display switching time and includes an information amount detection unit 22 for detecting the number of characters of screen information displayed in the screen and a time setting unit 25 which sets a longer display switching time in accordance with the increase in number of characters of the screen information, which is detected by the information amount detection unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
