PURPOSE: A PAN(Personal Area Network) subscription method using passive scanning is provided to selectively subscribe a device providing a specific service by determining a service type included in a beacon. CONSTITUTION: A device(1000) which desires subscription starts scanning(S31). The device stores a service type. The device receives a beacon transmitted by a coordinator(S32). The device determines whether the device is able to be subscribed(S33). The device ignores the beacon when the device is unable to be subscribed(S34). When the device is able to be subscribed, the coordinator transmitting the beacon or the identification information of the PAN is updated(S35).
