<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance occupant restraining performance by a side airbag. <P>SOLUTION: This occupant restraining device includes: the side airbag 12 which is stored in a seat back side part 22S in a seat 18 for a vehicle and is inflated and deployed to the sides of a chest part 24C and a shoulder part 24S of an occupant 24 during a side collision; a regulation member 14 which is stored from an upper end part 28A of a headrest 28 in a side part of the seat 18 over a lower end part 22L of the seat back 22 and is deployed in a surface shape to the seat width direction outside in a deployment region of the side airbag 12 so that a front edge 14A connects the upper end part 28A of the headrest 28 and a front end part 30A of the seat cushion 30; and an actuator 16 for pulling out a front end 14A in a lower part of the regulation member 14 from the lower end part 22L of the seat back 22 to the front end part 30A of the seat cushion 30 during the side collision. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
