<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely delete a virtual IP address from a server in which failure has occurred, and to hand over the virtual IP address to a new active server after system switching in a dual server system. <P>SOLUTION: In a virtual IP address management method in a dual server system, a first server 10X which has become a new active server by system switching executes a confirmation step of, when setting a virtual IP address 13X, transmitting a request for confirming whether or not a virtual IP address 13Y has been already deleted to a second server 10Y which was the active server before system switching, and a deletion instruction step of, when receiving a reply indicating that the virtual IP address 13Y has not been deleted from the second server 10Y, transmitting an instruction to delete the virtual IP address 13Y to the second server 10Y. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
