PURPOSE: An optical laminate, a polarizing plate, and an image display device are provided to enhance the level of adhesion between a polyester base layer and a hard coat layer, thereby considerably preventing a rainbow pattern from taking place. CONSTITUTION: An optical laminate (10) comprises three layers: a hard coat layer (13) on top, a primer layer (12) in the middle, and a polyester base layer (11). The polyester base layer has over 8000 nm retardation and the refractive index difference, nx-ny, between a slow axis having a large refractive index and a fast axis perpendicular to the slow axis is between 0.07 and 0.20. |
