PURPOSE: A gear hobbing machine is provided to prevent the processing error of a work-piece by automatically correcting the position error of predetermined X-axis transfer value and X-axis penetration value by a magnetic sensor. CONSTITUTION: A gear hobbing machine comprises a bed frame(10), a hobbing tool(30), a supporter(50), a magnetic sensor assembly(70), and a controller(80). The hobbing tool is mounted to move in the X, Y, Z axes direction and to rotate in the axis direction through a column on the bed frame. The supporter is installed on the bed frame corresponding to the column and supports a work(W) on a work table(T). The magnetic sensor assembly is connected on the supporter and the column and senses X-axis penetration value of the hobbing tool. The controller exchanges the value of the magnetic sensor assembly and the standard value of the X-axis penetration value and feeds back error value by an automatic correcting device.
