PURPOSE: A food additive is provided to prevent or treat obesity or disease of lipid metabolism by comprising milk vetch root, Korean angelica, Rehmannia root, ginseng, cornus fruit or snaked beard extracts as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: A food additive preventing or treating obesity or disease of lipid metabolism comprises herbal extracts as an active ingredient. The herbal extracts comprises milk vetch root, Korean angelica, Rehmannia root, ginseng, cornus fruit or snaked beard at a ratio of 1-10:1-10:1-10:1-10:1-10:1-10 (w/w). The extracts are added to a solution mixed with purified water, sparkling water, 1-4 of alcohol with low level of carbon or a mixture of the same. The disease of the lipid metabolism includes diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, hyperlipidemia, hypolipidemic, lipid proteinosis or artery scleroma. The health supplement is powder, granule, refined type, capsule type or a drink.
