<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress image deterioration and toner scattering reducing a cost by suppressing variations of a development property of a patch image. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a development sleeve which forms a toner image by supplying toner to an electrostatic latent image formed by electrostatic latent image forming means; a patch detection sensor which detects image density of the toner image formed by the electrostatic latent image forming means; and toner supply means (a toner supply tank and a toner supply screw) which forms a reference electrostatic latent image for an image density control by the electrostatic latent image forming means, defines the formed reference electrostatic latent image as a reference toner image for the image density control by the development sleeve, detects the image density of the reference toner image by the patch detection sensor, and on the basis of a detection result of the patch detection sensor, supplies the toner to the development sleeve. The image forming apparatus is characterized in having a control part which performs a control so as to make a rotation speed of the development sleeve when the reference toner image is formed faster than when a normal image is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
