<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel door having a slave door, to which a decorative molding is attached to form an integrated appearance of a master and slave door so as to enhance security. <P>SOLUTION: A decorative molding 5 formed of aluminum extrusion is arranged at an end of a slave door opening 23 of a master door 2 of a master and slave steel door A. The decorative molding 5 is arranged projecting in a slave door opening plane, for example, projecting by about 1 cm in the plane of the slave door opening 23. A gap with a width of about 5 mm between the slave door opening 23 and an inward opening slave door 3 is thus covered such that the presence of the slave door 3 is not recognized from the outdoor side. The two orthogonal sides at a fastening joint of the decorative molding 5 are covered with a cap 6 formed of a synthetic resin as safety measures to prevent a risk caused by an exposed fastening joint at an end in the longitudinal direction of the decorative molding 5 at a corner of the slave door opening 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
