<p>Provided is an impact resistant member which is light in weight and has a high degree of freedom of shape and excellent impact resistance. An impact resistant member which is composed of a part having an open cross-sectional shape and a rib part that is arranged inside the part having an open cross-sectional shape. At least one of the part having an open cross-sectional shape and the rib part is formed of a carbon fiber-reinforced composite material that contains a thermoplastic resin, and the other may be formed of a thermoplastic resin. This impact resistant member is characterized in that: the abundance of thermoplastic resin(s) in the impact resistant member is 30-500 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the carbon fibers; and the carbon fibers have an average fiber length of 3-100 mm.</p> |
