PURPOSE: A relay and an R-type fire alarm receiver system flexible to an error of a fire detection line are provided to replace a line with reference to a dropped voltage level or to adjust a threshold voltage level judging a fire alarm according to the degree of voltage drop in a normal state. CONSTITUTION: A relay(13) includes a line interface(131), a line state measurement unit(132) and a diagnosis unit(133). The line interface includes a communication module. The communication module receives a digital type alarm signal from a detection circuit generating a detection signal deactivated for a normal state or activated for an alarm state according to variation of the voltage level of the signal line connected with a single type sensor or transmitters. The line state measurement unit generates a state signal having a voltage value, a current value, or information proportional to these of a signal line. The diagnosis unit diagnoses a state of a signal line according to the statistical analysis result of the sampled measurement values of the state signal while the detection signal is being deactivated.
