摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery that can offer high input/output characteristics and a high energy density, and is prevented from generating abnormal heat highly reliably and safely without excessively impairing battery performance. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode 30 including a positive electrode active material layer 34, a negative electrode 50 including a negative electrode active material layer 54, a separator 70 intervening between the positive electrode 30 and the negative electrode 50, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The separator 70 includes a heat-resistant layer 72 containing an inorganic filler and a granular polymer A78 that has a melting point in the temperature range of 80&deg;C to 100&deg;C, on at least one surface, and the positive electrode active material layer 34 contains a positive electrode active material and a granular polymer B38 that has a melting point higher than the melting point of the granular polymer A78 and lower than or equal to 120&deg;C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
