<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect gradation data having a larger amount, from video data, while suppressing an increase of a circuit scale. <P>SOLUTION: A gradation data detection device 230 accepts an input of a digital video including a plurality of pixels each having gradation data of multiple bits. The device includes: a count unit 231 that counts the number of specific values which is 0 or 1 of a same bit in plural pieces of gradation data included in the plurality of pixels, by bit; a judgment unit 232 that judges whether the number of specific values counted by the count unit is a prescribed number or not; and a detector 233 that detects pieces of specific gradation data whose number is larger than a half of the plural pieces of gradation data using the judgment result of the judgment unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
