<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when toner is aggregated on the downstream side in a conveying direction of a developer conveying member, a load imposed on the developer conveying member in an initial drive stage increases. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a partition member 50 that is movably provided inside a developer storage unit 15, and partitions the developer storage unit 15; a developer conveying member 25 that conveys developer stored in the developer storage unit 15; and a unit to be operated 54a for moving the partition member 50. When a cartridge is attached to an apparatus body, the unit to be operated 54a contacts with the apparatus body to cause the partition member 50 to move from a predetermined first position to a second position to create larger capacity of the developer storage unit than the first position does. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
