The method involves evaluating temperature of air downstream from a cooling frontage. A room temperature around a component is determined from temperature of the air downstream from the frontage. Air velocity crossing a radiator is evaluated. A convection heat coefficient of the component is determined from the evaluated air velocity. A heat flux dissipated by a condenser is evaluated from an operating condition of an air-conditioning unit of a car. A flow of a cooling liquid crossing the radiator is determined from an opening state of the radiator and/or mode of an engine. An independent claim is also included for a method for estimate temperature of a component placed under an engine cowling of a car.
