<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve efficiency improvement in an environmental control system, especially in a system which performs dehumidification and air conditioning. <P>SOLUTION: An air conditioning apparatus includes a liquid desiccant of a certain amount, a dehumidification apparatus section into which air to be adjusted is introduced to be brought into contact with a first part of the liquid desiccant, a regeneration apparatus section into which external air is introduced to be brought into contact with a second part of the liquid desiccant, and a cooling system having a first heat exchanger associated with the first part of the liquid desiccant and a second heat exchanger associated with the second part of the liquid desiccant.
