<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hook and loop fastener capable of preventing adhesion of dust, etc. and preventing complication of work when a user moves or when the fastener is reused by canceling a function of a fastener surface when a fixing means using the fastener is not used. <P>SOLUTION: In the hook and loop fastener device, a sheet-like base is foldable by at least one folding part. A first engagement surface is provided on the inner surface of one sheet-like base section divided by the folding part, and a second engagement surface which can be engaged with/disengaged rom the first engagement surface is provided on the inner surface of the other sheet-like base section divided by the folding part.
