<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a solid oxide fuel cell member that causes no cracking or the like with respect to a long term use and a repetitive temperature cycle; and a solid oxide fuel cell that maintains high reliability for a long period by suppressing Cr poisoning. <P>SOLUTION: A solid oxide fuel cell member electrically connects between cells of a solid oxide fuel cell. The solid oxide fuel cell member is configured to include a metal base 1 (Fe-22Cr steel); a Cr<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>oxide layer 2 formed on a surface of the metal base 1; and a coating layer 3 formed on a surface of the oxide layer 2.
