<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a carry without deteriorating feeling in ball hitting. <P>SOLUTION: A golf club shaft 3, made of a fiber-reinforced resin containing a reinforced fiber and resin, has a shaft weight of not less than 30 g and not more than 55g, wherein the ratio LG/LS of distance LG to a center of gravity G of the shaft from a front edge 3a of the shaft 3, namely a side to which a golf club head 2 is attached, to the full length LS of the shaft, is at not less than 0.54 and not more than 0.65. The reinforced fiber contained in a rear-edge area B, namely an area of 300 mm from a rear edge 3b of the shaft 3 to a side of the front edge 3a of the shaft 3, comprises a low-elasticity fiber having a tensile elastic modulus of not less than 5 t/mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and not more than 20 t/mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, and a high-elasticity fiber having a tensile elastic modulus of more than 20 t/mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and not more than 50 t/mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>. In the reinforced fiber of the rear edge area, the low-elasticity fiber and the high-elasticity fiber are contained by 20 to 30 wt.% and 80 to 70 wt.%, respectively, and torsional rigidity GI ranges from 1.8 to 3.5 kgfm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>in a position of 150 mm from the rear-edge side to the front-edge side of the shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
