摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging device which can obtain a high-resolution image even if either one of interconnections for reading out or interconnections for selecting a row is disconnected. <P>SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging device includes a light receiving section consisting of M&times;N pixel portions P<SB POS="POST">1,1</SB>to P<SB POS="POST">M,N</SB>arranged in a two-dimensional M&times;N matrix form, each pixel portion including a photo diode PD for generating electric charges in conformity with the intensity of incident light and a switch SW<SB POS="POST">1</SB>for reading out that is connected to the photo diode. Each pixel portion P<SB POS="POST">m,n</SB>dominates a nearly square-shaped area, most of which is a photo diode PD region, and a field effect transistor as the switch SW<SB POS="POST">1</SB>for reading out is formed at one corner of the photo diode PD region. A channel stopper CS is continuously formed in regions between the pixel portions. In a region sandwiched between arbitrary two pixel portions adjacent to each other, a photo diode PD2 for a dummy is formed, being surrounded with the channel stopper CS. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
