<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for easily obtaining non-migrating non-electrostatic colored resin particles with high shielding property, which do not inhibit electrophoresis of colored migrating particles. <P>SOLUTION: A process for producing non-electrostatic colored resin particles includes the steps of: obtaining a mixture liquid A including a segment comprising a silicone chain having compatibility with a nonpolar solvent and a segment comprising an acrylic polymer having compatibility with a nonaqueous polar solvent, the mixture liquid A including a polyol having a carboxyl group with acid value of 1 to 200 mgKOH/g and insoluble in a nonpolar solvent, a pigment, a polyfunctional isocyanate, and the nonaqueous polar solvent; obtaining a mixture liquid B by mixing the mixture liquid A and the nonpolar solvent; obtaining a mixture liquid C by removing the nonaqueous polar solvent from the mixture liquid B; obtaining a mixture liquid D containing a resin-covered pigment by covering the surface of the pigment in the mixture liquid C with a crosslinked resin formed by crosslinking the polyol with the polyfunctional isocyanate; and obtaining the non-electrostatic colored resin particles by adding an amino group-containing compound to the mixture liquid D and reacting the crosslinked resin of the resin-covered pigment and the amino group-containing compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
