<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in printing quality when printing a smoothing-processed black character. <P>SOLUTION: When predetermined conditions are satisfied (YES at steps S3 to S11), second black printing is used (step S25) to print the edge portion of the black character (YES at steps S19 to S23) where a small number of ink droplets are assigned to pixels of the edge portion by the smoothing processing. In the second black printing, a part of or all of color ink C(cyan), M (magenta), Y (yellow) used for first black printing are not used. As a result, even when the small number of ink droplets easily deviated in the landing position are assigned to the pixel portion being the smoothing processing target, the landing position deviation of the color ink other than K (black) ink is reduced or eliminated, thereby the existence of the landing position deviation caused by a hue difference between K (black) and other colors is made less noticeable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
