<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexasubstituted triphenylene compound in a high yield which enables mass production at a low cost and on an industrial scale and reduces the load to the environment as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexasubstituted triphenylene compound by the trimerization reaction of a 1,2-disubstituted benzene compound in the presence of a compound including a divalent or trivalent iron ion comprises using at least one reaction solvent selected from the group consisting of carboxylic acid esters, lactones, carbonic acid esters, and sulfurous esters in the reaction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
