OPTICAL COMMUNICATION DEVICE, OPTICAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND PATH CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a time when a signal cannot be received during switching work in the case that path switching is performed by an optical communication device.

SOLUTION: An optical communication device constituting a wavelength division multiplexing transmission system comprises: a transponder including a dual-wavelength tunable transceiver and a transceiver with a built-in uninterruptible switching controller; and a Reconfigurable Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer (ROADM) including a device which is able to cooperatively operate with the transponder and compatible with colorless and directionless.
